BURGLARY SUSPECT ARRESTED IN PORTLAND'S BROOKLYN NEIGHBORHOOD (PHOTO)

On Monday November 6, 2017, at 2:58 p.m., Central Precinct officers responded to the report of a burglary in the 3400 block of Southeast 7th Avenue.

When officers arrived in the area, they learned two community members contacted 9-1-1 after they saw damage to a home and believed a burglary may be occurring.

During the preliminary investigation of the incident, officers found multiple broken windows at the home. The homeowner was contacted by phone and informed officers the home should not have any broken windows. Officers also learned that the there should not be anyone in the residence.

Officers searched the home with the assistance of a police K9 team and located a suspect in the basement. The suspect was taken into custody.

The Portland Police Bureau Detective Division's Burglary Detail responded to assist with the investigation.

The suspect has been identified as 35-year-old Krista L. Rossi. Rossi was lodged in the Multnomah County Jail on charges of Burglary in the First Degree and Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree.
