November 3, 2017 -- Two hunters located human remains on forestland north of the City of North Plains. Detectives are investigating it in connection with the 2012 murder of Theresa Fronsman.

On November 3, 2017, at 9:30 a.m., Washington County Sheriff's Office deputies responded of a report of two hunters who had located human remains on private forestland east of Northwest Pumpkin Ridge Road and Northwest Willis Place.

Washington County Sheriff's Office detectives, forensics technicians, and the Washington County Medical Examiner responded and assisted in processing the scene.

Based on the initial investigation, the human remains are that of an adult and appear to have been there for an extended period of time.

Detectives are investigating this case in connection with the 2012 murder of Theresa Fronsman. The suspect in that case, Robert Hardison, has not been seen since the incident and he remains wanted for aggravated homicide.

DNA evidence will be submitted to the Oregon State Crime Lab for testing and the results will be released when available.

PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Oregon Air National Guard's 142nd Fighter Wing will host a ceremony November 4, 2017, at the Portland Air National Guard Base, in Portland, Oregon, to present a Bronze Star medal to honor a Special Tactics Airman.

Master Sgt. Garron Dahle, with the 125th Special Tactics Squadron, is scheduled to be awarded the nation's fourth highest medal before an audience of his family, friends and peers.

Dahle is receiving the Bronze Star for meritorious service as a combat control craftsman while deployed to Afghanistan from September 1, 2015, to November 15, 2015.

Dahle was directly responsible for the de-confliction of complex battle space and the employment of all airborne assets in support of ground schemes of maneuver for his Special Forces team, serving to eliminate insurgent strongholds and helping to restore order to volatile regions of Afghanistan.

Linn County Sheriff Bruce Riley reports his office is continuing their investigation into the suspicious death of a male found on Bryant Drive, Albany. Detectives are working with the Oregon State Medical Examiner's Office to help determine the cause of death, and also have requested assistance from the Oregon State Police Crime Lab in an attempt to identify the male through fingerprints, DNA and dental records.

The investigation is ongoing and we will continue to update the public as information becomes available. Detectives do not believe there is any risk to the public.

Linn County Sheriff Bruce Riley is reporting his detectives are investigating a suspicious death on Bryant drive, one mile south of Bryant Park. Today at approximately 2:00 p.m., personnel from the Albany Fire Department were flagged down by an individual and were informed of the body.

Beth Dehn is a public folklorist with over 10 years of experience managing cultural programs in museums and educational settings. On Friday November 3, 2017, at 4:51 a.m., North Precinct officers responded to the report of a crash in the 500 block of Northeast Columbia Boulevard.

Officers and emergency medical responders arrived at the crash and found two pedestrian laying on Northeast Columbia Boulevard with critical life-threatening injuries.

Based on the information learned during the preliminary investigation, officers believe both pedestrians were in a westbound lane of Northeast Columbia Boulevard when they were struck by the semi truck.

Shortly after the crash that injured two pedestrians occurred, there was a second crash. During the second crash a vehicle crashed into a fire hydrant. Information learned in the initial part of the investigation suggests the driver of a green Nissan Sentra attempted to avoid the initial crash and collided with a fire hydrant. The driver of the Nissan sustained non-life-threatening injuries and is recieving medical aid from emergency medical responders.

The driver of the semi truck has remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.

The Portland Police Bureau Traffic Division's Major Crash Team is responding to continue this investigation.

Northeast Columbia Boulevard will be closed between Northeast Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Northeast 11th Avenue for the next three to four hours.

Anyone with information about this crash is asked to contact the Portland Police Bureau non-emergency-line at 503-823-3333.

On November 2nd, 2017 at 11:15pm, the Central Oregon Major Incident Team was activated to investigate an officer-involved shooting that took place in Madras at approximately 11:00 P.M. The incident occurred after a vehicular pursuit with a reported stolen vehicle that began in Deschutes County and ended in Madras on Highway 97 near L Street.

After law enforcement made contact with the occupant(s) of the vehicle, shots were fired and one occupant was wounded. That occupant was taken to Saint Charles Bend and is receiving medical care.

No law enforcement officers were injured.

Based on the nature of this investigation, northbound Highway 97 is currently closed with an established detour in place. The Central Oregon Major Incident Team has been and will continue to work throughout the morning to obtain information regarding this investigation.

On November 2, 2017 at approximately 1:15pm, OSP Troopers and emergency personnel responded to the report of a two vehicle crash on Highway 20 near milepost 81 (just east of the Santiam Summit).

Preliminary investigation revealed a 2003 Ford Van traveling eastbound on Highway 20 when it crossed the double centerline and struck an westbound 2010 Subaru Legacy head-on. Both drivers were pronounced deceased at the scene. There were no passengers in the vehicles.

Highway 20 was completely closed for about one hour until one alternating lane was opened for traffic.
