Gresham, Ore. -- A missing 12-year-old boy who ran away from his parents shortly after 1:00 AM from a hotel in the 17700 block of NE Sacramento St., Gresham has been located safe and unharmed and has been reunited with his parents.

Around 1:00 PM, Maliki Skutley was spotted by an observant citizen getting into a car in the Cherry Park Shopping Center in the 2500 block of SW Cherry Park Rd., Troutdale today. The citizen recognized Maliki from an earlier news story, called 911 and stayed on the phone until officers from Gresham Police Department and the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office could arrive and confirm Maliki's identity.

The driver of the car, an adult male associate of Maliki's, is cooperating with the investigation and is being interviewed by Gresham Police Detectives. No arrests have been made, so the driver's identity is not being released.
