ODOT: Valley, No. Coast: The right lane of northbound Interstate 5 remains closed at milepost 219, north of the OR 228 Brownsville-Halsey Exit. The left lane is now open. ODOT: Valley, No. Coast: Northbound Interstate 5 is closed at milepost 219, north of the OR 228 Brownsville-Halsey Exit. A semi truck has jackknifed. The truck and debris are blocking most of the roadway. Traffic is backed up several miles. Travelers are advised to take alternate routes and expect delays. ODOT: East. Ore.: I-84 remains closed EASTBOUND and WESTBOUND due to crash involving hazardous materials in the WB lanes at MP 233 near Meacham. The EASTBOUND freeway is closed at Exit 216 six miles east of Pendleton. The WESTBOUND freeway is closed at Exit 374 in Ontario due to no room left for trucks to park in La Grande and Baker City. Icy conditions are present along the freeway between La Grande and Pendleton and additional crashes were reported along this route. Hazardous material were listed as being on board the truck that crashed at MP 233, which prompted the EB freeway closure. The closure will remain in place until on-scene Haz-Mat crews advise when it is safe to open the roadways. It is expected the freeway could be closed for several hours. More information will be release as it becomes available. UPDATE
ODOT: East. Ore.: I-84 is closed EASTBOUND and WESTBOUND due to crash involving hazardous materials at MP 233 near Meacham. The EASTBOUND freeway is closed at Exit 216 six miles east of Pendleton. The WESTBOUND freeway is closed at Exit 302 in Baker City due to no room left for trucks to park in La Grande. Icy conditions are present along the freeway between La Grande and Pendleton resulting in additional crashes in the area. The Hazardous material spill occurred along the EASTBOUND lanes, but the WESTBOUND lanes are also impacted due to material spill. Haz-mat response crews will advise when freeway can be open. More information will be release as it becomes available.
